About Breanna

Everybody faces struggles at some point in their lives. I believe that all people are worthy and deserving of respect and support during these times. I welcome the opportunity to walk alongside you on your journey to wellness.

I would be pleased to help you address issues such as:

  • Changes in relationship status
  • Parenting a child on the Autism spectrum, ADHD and other Neurodiverse diagnoses
  • Learning coping skills
  • Exploring healthy boundaries

I am a Master of Art Counselling Psychology Student with Yorkville University. Once I complete my degree, I intend to become registered as a clinical counsellor (RCC) through BCACC. I completed my Bachlor of Art with a major in Psychology at the University of British Columbia Okanagan campus in 2019. I have worked in mental health for over 7 years. I have cared for elders with mental illness, worked in a stabilization unit, and as a member of the Vernon Mental Health and Substance Use team.

Through my own struggles with anxiety, I have gained an appreciation and understanding of the uncertainty my clients face when seeking help. I understand on a personal level how they can be impacted by a diagnosis. As a parent to children with mental health struggles, I have unconditional compassion for others and understand the effect it can have on a family. I also have experienced how invaluable it can be to connect with a professional to feel heard, supported and to gain new perspective.

I value a person-centered, individual approach for each client that sees me. I want to help walk with you on your journey in a way that feels right to you without judgment. I bring an open, safe, and respectful environment to all people no matter the struggles they are facing. It’s my honour to counsel you during your challenges and help you heal from any of these experiences.

I have experience working with individuals in a supportive role through my many years of mental health work, including those suffering from:

  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Transgender youth
  • Schizophrenia
  • Autism
  • ADHD
  • Parenting
  • Divorce
  • Grief
