About Ileana

It is my mission to support you in your healing and to help you access your inner vitality even through the most difficult and painful times. I offer an empathetic and compassionate approach to meet you where you are at in your own unique journey. My goal is to help you strengthen your ability to feel your emotions safely via building awareness of embodied emotion, self-compassion, and acceptance. All emotional wounds are stored in the body and if these emotions are not processed eventually they will manifest in physical symptoms. I will hold space for you to be heard and seen through the challenges you are facing, wether if you are struggling with chronic physical symptoms, mental health, life changes, adapting culturally, or exploring your purpose in life. I believe you have an innate motivation to flourish and the wisdom to create the changes you desire. I will be there as a guide and companion to help you create a plan to shift your health and quality of life.

I completed my Holistic Wellness Counselling Diploma at Rhodes Wellness College which also involved 145 coaching training hours approved by the International Coaching Federation. I am a Registered Holistic Nutritionist through the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. I recently completed a Trauma-Sensitive Yin Yoga training and I am currently enrolled in a Somatic Attachment Certificate Progam. My background is working with children in learning settings and vulnerable communities. I have also worked supporting adults with diverse abilities through life skills facilitation and employment coaching and counselling.

My style follows a somatic approach under a trauma-informed practice and is person-centered. I incorporate a holistic model of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness which I consider to be the pillars of personal wellbeing. I use a blend of modalities like Somatic Therapy, CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing and Nervous System Education. I am also informed on breathwork and transpersonal modalities. I value transparency, authenticity, empathy and compassion. It is my goal to embrace these values and to stay in alignment with these in all that I do. I believe that an esssential role in personal growth is to stay in alignment with your truth and to what you value, and to create a balanced lifestyle from what it feels authentic and unique for you.
