I believe some of the most beautiful work takes place in a therapeutic setting. My goal is to provide you with a safe space, help you feel heard, cared for, understood, and be there for you through your journey in discovering new and different ways in leading a more authentic and meaningful life. I believe we all go through struggles and obstacles in life. Sometimes, what we are trying isn’t necessarily working anymore and we may need new and different perspectives and ways of tackling such issues and concerns. When given the right space, I believe you can heal and succeed in leading a life that you want to live. It would be my honour to listen to your story and be there for you in the process of writing the next chapters of your life.
As a therapist, I am warm, empathic, intuitive, caring, and non-judgmental. I use a holistic approach and aim to help you feel truly heard, seen, and understood. I also aim to help bring to awareness things that may not have been noticeable previously. So, part of my work includes walking a fine line between being caring and kindly challenging you in ways to think, feel, or act in different ways to promote healthy relationships and boundaries with others and yourself.
Currently, I am completing my Master of Counselling Psychology degree at Adler University. I hope to become a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) through BCACC. Prior to graduate school, I had graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with a Psychology Major and a Gerontology Minor from Simon Fraser University. My previous experience includes volunteer work with children at BC Children’s Hospital and work as a behaviour interventionist, closely working with autistic children. I have always known that I wanted to work in a helping field. Now, I am given that opportunity and I am grateful to be able to help others through this intimate, special, and meaningful work.
Some of the areas I can support you with include:
