Vanessa Teichrib-Labrada

Intern Counsellor

About Vanessa

You don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. I strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental space for exploration, and I am honored to walk beside you on your journeys. I believe that you are the expert on your life and am here to offer support, empathy and help you discover your inner tools that lead to healing. I work from a non-pathologizing lens with youth and adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, or any other challenges, I aim to provide a space where you can feel heard, supported, and understood.

My approach is person-centered and collaborative, grounded in the belief that you are the expert in your own life. I integrate approaches such as Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic awareness to help you better understand your emotions, patterns, and experiences.

Together, we will explore what matters most to you, build emotional awareness, and develop tools that cultivate resilience, and meaningful change. I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental environment where you can show up as your authentic self. I am currently completing my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Trinity Western University. I graduated from the University of British Columbia with a BA in psychology. After graduation I plan to register as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). When I am not in the office, in my free time I enjoy a good podcast. I also enjoy taking my dogs for walks and spending time with my family.
