I bring both lived experience and professional expertise to my work with neurodivergent children and their families. As a late-identified autistic adult with many years of experience supporting autistic children, youth, and caregivers, I offer specialized behavioural consultation for children of all ages (including those under six), grounded in a neuroaffirming, child-centered approach.

My philosophy is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and respect for neurodivergent ways of being. I work alongside families to co-create support plans that honour each child’s development and align with their unique values, needs, and lifestyles. I strive to empower parents to tune into their child’s communication, strengths, and sensory world—to build strategies that truly work for their family.

I also support children who are described as having “challenging behaviours,” helping families understand these behaviours as adaptive forms of communication rather than problems to be fixed. My approach emphasizes connection, regulation, and collaborative problem-solving, offering alternatives to traditional compliance-based models.

Parenting a neurodivergent child can come with unique challenges—especially within systems that aren’t always designed with your child in mind. I offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space for parents to explore their own responses, build confidence, and access tools that align with their family’s rhythms and values.

I believe that meaningful change starts with understanding—not fixing—and that when we meet children with attunement and care, we create space for growth, regulation, and authentic connection.

Specializations:

  • Autism (including non-speaking profiles)
  • ADHD
  • PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance / Pervasive Drive for Autonomy)
  • Anxiety
  • Behavioural differences in young children
  • Parenting support for neurodivergent families
  • Support for families navigating early intervention systems, including funding guidance and liaising with other professionals in your family’s team.

As a Behaviour Consultant who works closely with Autistic children and youth between the ages of 1 and 13, I’m deeply passionate about helping children build confidence, independence, and meaningful connections. I feel truly privileged to support families on their developmental journeys.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with children with a wide range of strengths, needs, and communication styles. My work focuses on behaviour management, Autism support, and family-centred intervention. I believe that real progress happens when everyone feels supported, so a large part of my role includes parent training and sibling coaching to help families feel empowered and confident in using strategies at home, school, and in the community.

I’ve developed strong skills across several areas of child development. These include communication skills, emotional regulation, social skills, and Social Thinking concepts. I also support children in developing play skills, fine and gross motor skills, self-care routines, early academic skills, and toilet training. In addition, I have specialized training in the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), which I use to guide early intervention through play-based, relationship-focused learning.

I also lead social skills groups for children and youth, helping them practice meaningful interactions, problem-solving, and collaboration in a supportive environment. Whether I’m coaching parents, working 1:1 with a child, or guiding siblings in understanding and supporting one another, my goal is always the same: to create positive, sustainable change that helps children thrive.

My work is grounded in patience, respect, and a genuine belief in each child’s potential. I’m committed to continuing my learning, growing my clinical skills, and partnering with families to make every step forward feel achievable and worth celebrating.

Supporting a child through tough behaviours can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. As a neurodiversity-affirming behaviour consultant with training as both a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, I take a holistic, compassionate approach to understanding behaviour and supporting families.

My work is grounded in the belief that behaviour is communication. Instead of focusing on “fixing” behaviours, I collaborate with families to understand the underlying needs, strengths, and environmental factors that shape a child’s experience. Together, we build plans that prioritize well-being, connection, and skill-building—not compliance.

Using a blend of Positive Behaviour Support strategies, relational counselling principles, and neuro-affirming practices, I help parents create meaningful, sustainable changes at home and in the community. This includes developing routines that work for your family, identifying strengths and stressors, supporting emotional regulation, and building practical tools that respect your child’s autonomy and individuality.

My goal is to empower you with strategies that feel humane, flexible, and aligned with your family’s values. Whether you’re navigating meltdowns, transitions, school challenges, or everyday moments that feel tough, I’m here to support your family with compassion, clarity, and a strengths-based lens.

Life never follows the map we drew out exactly how we would like. Despite the plans we create, relationships are unpredictable — conflict and challenges can emerge. My goal is to help guide you while you process, navigate, and explore the unexpected in life in a safe space. My approach to counselling is to create a warm, understanding, client-centred environment to support you with compassion, empathy, and understanding to view your situation holistically.

I obtained my Masters of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University, Fall of 2024. I am a Register Social Worker (RSW), and a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). I also work with Fraser Health Authority as a Clinician Social Worker with an Assertive Community Treatment Team, supporting people daily with acute mental health struggles. Before this, I lived in Saskatchewan and worked as a crisis counsellor for over seven years, and have extensive experience in crisis intervention, solution-focused, and family-centred practice. I obtained my Bachelor of Social Work through the University of Regina in 2010.
