As parents we sometimes feel at a loss as to how to help our child, particularly when they are experiencing difficulties in more than one area of their lives: at school, with friends, regulating emotions, academically, socially or behaviourally. My personal experience and my love for children has helped me to realize that many parents need support and I have a passion for helping children and parents navigate these challenges.

My drive and my passion for helping children took me to Stenberg College where I worked on and completed my certification as an Education Assistant. I took my passion for working with children and started working in the school-based system where I enjoyed 5 plus years.
My time in the school-based system opened my eyes to the increasing behaviors in the classroom, but most of these children had no support as they were diagnosed with ADHD or other behavioural issues. I felt there was a need to understand and help these kids to understand themselves and to navigate the school setting that was so turbulent for them, so I designed a program based on accountability and awareness that has been extremely successful. I felt there was so much more to learn so I broadened my scope and took Expressive Play Therapy and Play Therapies at the Justice Institute Of BC.
I have also attended Sand Play Therapy at Trinity Western University. I have been working as a Behavioral Technician at Crossroads Collective and with my added training can also offer Play Therapy Counselling in addition to my skills as a behavioural specialist.
I am excited to share my training, education and passion for helping children. It is a pleasure for me to work with a child, inclusive and alongside the families, to give a comprehensive and overall panoptic treatment plan

Our life’s journey is comparable to the thrill of a mystical, magical rollercoaster ride. It has elements of both, surprise, and wonder. The highs, lows, twists, and turns encapsulate and capture our entire human existence in the vessels of our souls.
The amalgamation of these human experiences and emotions are as unique and intricate as our personal thumbprints. It is only natural to feel puzzled by our complexity, distinct patterning, and hidden psyche.
I strongly believe that storytelling is a potent tool to dive into our deepest, most eclipsed side of ourselves and discover the answers we otherwise seek on the surface of our day-to-day lives. I welcome you to my sessions, where we honour your stories and your truth. This therapeutic exchange is an opportunity for us to find a peaceful moment to pause, reflect, accept personal narratives. Let’s (re)create new stories where we celebrate your remarkable identity and meaningful journey. Life is dichotomous in nature, showering equal parts beauty and suffering upon all its mortals. Let’s find the resilience to grow regardless, with your infinite inner strength and my support, together.

That was the day I discovered my passion for people and helping them realise their absolute potential in mitigating difficult situations.

My style as a therapist is warm, empathic, creative, and encouraging. I offer thoughtful questions to inspire shifts in perspective and enhanced self-awareness. I am likely to gently challenge you to think, feel, and act in different ways to promote healthy relationships with others and with yourself. I aim to help you feel deeply seen, heard, and understood in each of our sessions together.
It would be my privilege to help you navigate difficult life experiences including:
- The loss of intimacy and desire with your partner
- Communication breakdowns with your partner or children
- Chronic pain, anxiety, or depression from a motor vehicle accident
- Getting passed over repeatedly for that big promotion at work
- Being “on edge” and constantly feeling the need to keep busy or be perfect
I am completing my Master of Counselling Psychology (MCP) degree at Adler University and am a student member of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). Prior to graduate school I attained a bachelor’s degree from Simon Fraser University and founded three small businesses. I have also provided play-based behaviour intervention for autistic children, authored and published a best-selling parenting book, and worked for a decade in the construction industry.
Although I can always remember having an interest in understanding how others think and what might motivate them to act in certain ways, the greatest catalyst toward eventually becoming a therapist was being in a motor vehicle accident back in 2011. Along the road to physical recovery, I embarked upon an incredibly rewarding and profound path to emotional recovery as well. To my surprise, therapy provided me the precise tools I needed to self-regulate, understand my life patterns, and drastically improve relationships. Through therapy I had experienced genuine validation and undivided attention unlike I had ever encountered before. I have since been a strong advocate for counselling and am grateful to now be able to help others in this highly meaningful work.
My areas of specialization include:
- Borderline Personality Disorder
- Obsessions and compulsions
- Insomnia and sleep difficulties
- Depression and anxiety
- Dissociation
- Trauma processing
- Self-compassion
- Forgiveness
- Desire and intimacy in couples/partners
- Consensual non-monogamy
- Boundaries and assertiveness training
- Workplace conflict
- Career advancement
The forms of therapy that most shape my practice include:
- Schema Therapy
- Jungian Depth Psychology
- Sand Tray Therapy
I commend you on taking this courageous leap toward resolving areas of distress in your life and choosing to cultivate joy. As counselling is not a one-size-fits-all approach, I look forward to developing an individual therapy that meets your specific needs.

I found my passion helping people through turmoil and hardship early in my career. I worked in crisis response and coaching for young adults and their families for a decade, supporting people through some of the worst moments of their lives. I’ve worked with individuals with diverse needs, many experiencing mental health crises. I moved into supporting children and youth, exploring how someone’s behaviour and routine can be a tool to supporting their wellness.
I’m currently completing a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University. I also have been fortunate to have taken a plethora of training and certification opportunities about crisis response, paramedicine, and leadership.
Some of my focus areas for counselling include: crisis counselling, trauma counselling (acute or historic), grief and loss counseling, LGBTQ2S+ support, anxiety, depression, youth & adolescence counselling, and addictions counselling. I work with individuals of all age groups, despite my experiences lending to younger populations.
Through my professional, personal, and educational experience, I have developed a passion for supporting others through hardships and celebrating their path to wellness. I understand that journey is seldom easy, and requires a lot of effort, dedication, and care to reach what can feel like an ever-changing horizon. I hope to join you on that journey together.
