Meet The Team
Mia graduated from McGill University. She is a member of College of Dietitians of British Columbia (CDBC) and Dietitians of Canada. She also completed Breastfeeding Course for Health Care Providers (LEARRC approved breastfeeding course) by Douglas College.
Mia was struggling with her body image throughout adolescence. Trying out different fad diet, yoyo dieting, fasting for days… she experienced them all, just like many people who struggles themselves with body image and weight. Her experience inspired her to study nutrition and finally become a dietitian. In her first two years of university, she lost more than 30 ibs and maintained it by applying what she learnt from school and incorporating the most recent research. By now, Mia has helped hundreds of people achieve their weight goals.
Having been working as a clinical dietitian in hospitals, outpatient units, rehabilitation hospitals, clinics and community care, she has extensive experience in weight management, chronic disease prevention and management, sport nutrition, gut health and etc. She is also working as a community dietary for pre and post natal nutrition program which run group nutrition workshops and individual nutrition consultations. She can help you with everything you need from pre-conception, pregnancy, post partum to infant nutrition.
She believes that if you cannot follow a diet plan for life, that’s not the right one for you! It’s all about lifestyle changes. We all are craving for delicious cookies, chocolates, fries, burgers, chips once a while. Nothing needs to be avoided completely, but it is all about having it in moderation and maintaining a positive lifestyle in general. Enjoying delicious foods and having healthy food choices are not contradictory at all!
